I am student of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University, in my fourth and final year. Originally from Central Florida, the Pacific Northwest has been quite a change for me. I earned my undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Rutgers University in New Jersey and my Master’s degree in Communications from The University of Central Florida.
Outside of medicine and health, I have many interests: creating recipes that are friendly to alternative dietary lifestyles, DIY projects that improve my life and my environment, taking photographs of everything [especially my dogs], botanicals, blending teas for every occasion, being a self proclaimed beauty product addict [recently committed to cosmetics that are ethically created and chemical free] and staying politically abreast of happenings in the Naturopathic world. I try to do all of this while still finding time to stop, breathe and enjoy life.
I’m not an expert by any means. I just find myself motivated to learn and do new things, especially when they impact the quality of my life. Along the way, I decided it would be fun to share all of the wonderful things that bring happiness and health into my life. Naturally, I have opinions about health and medicine, and I share those here. Those opinons are not intended to serve as medical advice.
This blog is a creative outlet for me to share bits and pieces of myself on my personal journey towards becoming a more conscious individual and a Physician.
