Happy 1st day of Autumn! I hope it’s cool enough to enjoy a Pumpkin Spice Latte where you are.
It’s still as hot as can be in Florida. Luckily, I’m heading to New Jersey this weekend and the weather will be slightly cooler. I can’t wait!
Matt and I took a trip to Costco this past weekend and I found a few new things. While putting this post together I realized that most of the stuff we purchased was frozen. So, if you love freezer foods, read on
It’s the latest edition of my Costco Shopping Guide!
Froozer Tropical Tango Popsicles
I LOVE THESE! First, they’re made of only fruit. Second, only a 1/4 serving of fruit so there isn’t a crazy amount of fruit sugar in it either. Plus, it’s still really hot here so there’s that.
2. Organic Frozen Green Beans
This brand is new to me and new to our Costco but so far so good. I used these in a no fry stir fry and they were perfect. I love green beans or broccoli as a quick side dish.
3. Organic Edamame
I’m not a huge fan of Edamame but I enjoy it on occasion so I picked up this bag. I like that the portions are individually wrapped, though I probably won’t use the steamer bags because I hate putting plastic in the microwave. I think edamame would make a great base for a deconstructed sushi bowl or as a mid day snack.
4. Organic Quinoa and KaleI was so in love with the Seeds of Change Quinoa and Kale that I found at Costco a few trips ago but it’s been so hard to find since that first time. I’m super sad about it because I loved how easy and filling it was. I’m hoping this version is equally good.
5. Organic Tomato Paste
After my debacle with the Organic Tomato Sauce, I opted for the paste this time. It’s sugar free and only has tomatoes in it (what a novel idea). I’m hoping it works just as well in most, if not all, of my tomato based recipes.
6. Dave’s Killer Bread
If you eat bread, and I think you should eat bread, than this is the bread to eat. It’s filling and hearty and so delicious. I love it with peanut butter. With almond butter. With real butter. Seriously, any and all toppings.
Your turn: what’s your favorite bread? Do you love or hate frozen veggies?
