I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was relatively uneventful, aside from a girl’s night in on Saturday that involved lots of delicious snacks and an Oreo cookie tasting.
Have you ever had one of those? Oreo has come out with so many new/interesting flavors and one of my girl friends suggested we each pick up a different pack and do a taste test. It’s silly but it’s really a lot of fun. This was our second Oreo Cookie Party and I think we’re probably going to stick with it.
Aside from eating cookies, Matt and I made a trip to Costco too. Instead of going Sunday we decided to go on Friday night and it was the BEST IDEA EVER. Costco is completely empty on Friday nights. I guess regular people have better things to do. I’m thinking about making Friday night our regular Costco shopping time from here on out #adulting.
We’re getting a new Costco in the Orlando area in May and I am super excited about that. It’s nice that we’re pretty close to one but I can’t imagine anything better than being close to TWO Costco locations. I probably need to find a better hobby. And a better way to spend Friday night.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
The most exciting part about this find was the price: $5.99. I just paid $4.99 for a small container of Bragg’s ACV at my local grocery store and this will last so much longer. I like to use ACV to bake and as a salad dressing base so I can go through a small bottle pretty quickly. It’s really versatile and I’m sure I’ll find even more ways use it now that I have access to so much!
2. Chloe’s Popsicles
I am totally obsessed with these popsicles. I like the strawberry better than the mango (which is surprising because I love mango) but both are actually really good. They’re made of fruit, lemon juice, water and a small amount of cane sugar – that is all! So good. Go get them.
3. Perfect Bar
Perfect Bar posted on Instagram that these were available at Costco and this was my main reason for making the trip this week. Not only was this box well priced, it was also on sale. Can’t beat a sale on top of Costco pricing!
4. Taboule Salad
Taboule, or Tabbouleh, is one of my favorite dishes. I haven’t tried my hand at making my own but I really need to. Until that happens, this version is a great stand in. Despite being prepackaged it was still fresh and tasty.
5. Organic Peanut Butter
I’m typically an almond butter eater but lately I’ve been really into peanut butter. Organic nut butter can be on the pricey side but at Costco you can get two jars for $11.99.
I also stocked up on Organic Strawberries because I want to get back into smoothie making mode.
Your turn: how was your weekend? What’s the best thing you’ve purchased at Costco lately?
