Spring is always when I feel the most inclined to clear out my closet. It helps me make way for my summer wardrobe and gives me the chance to purge the items that aren’t getting used as much as they should. I have a special technique that makes clearing out the old an enjoyable experience.
Since summer in Florida starts right when spring is just beginning in most parts of the country, I’m already dreaming of soft cotton dresses, shorts and loose tops. Here are some of my favorite pieces for this spring:
I love the sweet pattern on this dress paired with the racer back. It’s got a sporty look while maintaining the femininity that comes with wearing a dress. One of the things that I love about Prana is their commitment to sustainability. This dress is part of their bluesign® program which means the vibrant colors you see are produced without polluting the air and water with harsh chemicals.
This sweet onesie is made of organic cotton by one of my favorite brands, Lole. Lole is based in Canada and makes super cute workout apparel. I fell in love with their organic cotton Salutation leggings a few years ago and my first pair is still in pristine condition. I love items that last!
I love pairing a soft long sleeved shirt with shorts when it warms up. I find that I stay pretty cool as long as my legs are cool, so this top works for my Florida summers. I first discovered Muji on our layover en route to Ireland for our honeymoon. I wanted to buy everything in the store but walked away with the softest neck pillow ever.
I’m loving these shorts in Marigold Mixer and Indigo. Shorts are definitely a staple in my closet – I can’t live without them! As I’ve gotten older I’ve noticed that it’s hard to find a good pair of shorts that aren’t shorty short or mom shorts. These look like the perfect blend of comfort, style and modesty.
