Waking up early is not for everyone. I like to think of myself as a morning person, but more of a morning person if the “morning” starts around 7:30-8:00am. That seems to be my body’s preferred time to wake up. If you’re not at all a morning person and prefer to roll out of bed around 10:00am, these tips will help you rethink mornings.

Wake up to the Sunrise
Raise your hand if you use your iPhone as an alarm clock. Don’t worry, I use mine as one too. The iPhone is equipped with all of the obnoxious sounds you need to get yourself startled out of bed in the morning: dogs barking, end of the world sirens and bells. While these serve the purpose of an alarm, waking up to natural light is much more soothing. In fact, waking up to a light source can actually help your body’s circadian rhythm and melatonin production regulate, making it easier to fall asleep at night and wake in the morning

What is the first thing you do when you wake up? If the answer is “I reach for my iPhone” than you’re probably like most people. Instead of reaching for a phone consider sitting up slowly and reaching your arms up. Give your body a nice and gentle stretch as you come out of sleep….
